Day 3, doing good, trying to get below 260 at this point. I'm very close, within a pound or two. Think I can do it if I control myself this weekend.

I decided to be a yelp foodie this weekend and tried a number of highly rated restaurant in my area. One was Thai place and it was very nice. Another was a sandwich place which is much better than Subway or Togo's but it pricey. Now that I had my fun, I need to re-focus and get back to juicing. I had leftovers last night, so today will be the first full day on juice again. I need to stop messing around if I'm to hit my target of losing 36 lbs. by April.

Heya Neiko, I saw this and thought of you. It seems you need a bit of extra support and maybe not so many foodies around you. Don't give up! Success is just around the corner!

Day 2, I was doing fine until a colleague and friend came down from Las Vegas who I haven't seen in months. It was around 1 am and he hadn't eaten since 2pm so I took him out to eat. Even though I live in Southern California, nothing was open except a Denny's. After all, this isn't Vegas where everything including the bars are open 24 hours. I had some nachos and a burger. The nachos were a bit greasy but I think the burger really put me over the top. I felt like throwing up. It's been four hours and I'm still not feeling good. So I guess as I've detoxed myself, I can't go back to eating certain foods. So far on the list of no-go's: roast chicken, Chicago style pizza, and now burgers from Denny's. I hope it's not all burgers, I'd really would like to be able to eat an In-N-Out burger without getting sick. Guess it's back to juicing tomorrow.

I'm not at all surprised that the burgers made you sick. A good friend of mine has discovered that burgers from one chain make her moods change horrifically. She becomes "a narcisstic b*tch" in her words. So now she doesn't eat burgers or any kind of fast food. Her naturopath says it's the preservatives. I have had a clean diet for years and can't eat any burgers or takeaway food apart from sushi, salad wraps and vegetable stir fries. Kebabs agree with my stomach but are so salty that I retain water dreadfully - I put up with it, after all, a life without a kebab is not worth living LOL. Back to the juicer for all of us!!!

Closing out day 1 again. I juiced all day the previous 2 days but ended up eating a meal at the end of the day. Today I'm going to bed without eating. I'm not eating big meals but you just don't see the same results when you eat as when you completely fast. Now if I can get the will up to exercise as well, I should see some great results.

Hi Neiko, thanks for the friend request. I am on day 20, have lost 13lb during the transition and fast. It's my second fast and I feel truly empowered the longer I do it. What you mentioned about realizing you don't like certain foods as much is great news! I went to the Farmers Market on the weekend and the smell of the produce was heavenly. I don't think I ever really appreciated this before. With every day all of my senses are coming alive - it's an amazing journey. :)

Went to Golden Corral on Friday and eat a lot, then a place called Chicago Pasta House on Saturday. The weekends are messing me up a bit. Guess I'll have to restart again today.

So... closing out day 1 of the 2nd run. Nothing major, made the juice, drank the juice, went to work, drank more juice, go home, drank some almond milk... bed time.

The best laid plan... well I thought I was going to keep going after day 10, but I didn't. I celebrated a little too much over the three-day President's weekend and got back up to 268. I sort of hybrid juiced and ate today and will start juicing again tomorrow. I definitely feel much more in control than before and I'm still down about 9 lbs. I actually found that I don't like certain foods any more, as in I felt sick after eating them. Roast chicken seems to be one. I did like my avocado, mushroom quesadilla with fresh salsa. Also like tater tots... Well it's not a destination, but a journey, so onward!

Closing out day 10. At 263.4 lbs, a loss of almost 14 lbs in 10 days. Not bad. I don't have any plans to stop.
