    Hi all,



    Sorry for the long post.



    I'm a new community member and I will be starting my reboot at the beginning of April. I have two goals: I want to lose about 50lbs and I want to transition to a plant-based lifestyle for good. I've made drastic changes in the past only to get overwhelmed and behind on the planning/prep and I end up right back where I started or worse.



    I would like to do a 15-day 5-5-5 reboot and repeat it until I reach my goal and then transition to a primarily plant-based lifestyle after that. I think going back and forth between juicing/eating and just juicing will help me a lot. My weaknesses are planning and preparation. I've looked at the 5-5-5 reboot and everything looks great but I think for me it needs to be even simpler. I don't need a lot of variety and I need to control costs. I'm looking for advice on the best two or three juice recipes to work with and maybe some recipes on the eating days. I've learned from experience that going out and buying a whole bunch of different ingredients for a ton of recipes that are all very different results in me getting overwhlemed, feeling defeated and wasting a bunch of stuff that I just don't end up using in time before it goes bad.



    The key is to keep things simple so I don't have to make too many decisions lol. Advice on what has worked for you would be really helpful. I've tried SO MANY plans in the past but I'm hopeful about the reboot. This is the first time I have joined a community for help and support. I'm looking forward to reading your stories and your advice

    You could make up your own combinations providing you follow the 80% vegetable 20% fruit rule and throughout the day you have a rainbow of colours from the fruit and vegetables.

    My favourite juice is 3 beets, kale leaves, a lemon, 2 celery sticks, one cucumber. Sometimes I add fennel.

    Etobicoke, Ontario here.



    I made it through 7 days on my first reboot. Today is day 8, and I'm contemplating whether or not I'm going to eat today. I feel fine physically. I've I had my breakfast, and mid morning drink and I'm hungry. My husband thinks I should keep going if I feel ok. I think the thing that got me to day 7 was the thought of accomplishing my initial goal. I hadn't really thought about what I would do after that other than just continue to eat clean.



    Any thoughts from you experienced rebooters?

    On day 1 of first reboot. Doing it with my eldest daughter. I'm tired, red pee, and poops. Not fun lol. Eye on the prize! I'm from Brampton Ontario. Anyone else?

    Hello all! I'm on day 6 of my second reboot the and feeling pretty good! I haven't posted before, and am feeling the need to join the community! My first reboot was 5 days, and I felt like I wasn't 100 percent with it. It was a bout 5 years ago. This time I made it 3 days before craving food, so I have been allowing myself some eating as long as it was a fruit or veggie. A banana, some celery sticks, a few steamed broccoli and that I was making for the family. Also, today, I had a small cup of black coffee in the morning. I work shift work and although I was off caffeine for 5 days, I really felt like I needed it today.



    How does everyone else feel about a small amount of caffeine... And also about the eating aspect? I was following the recipes/plan for the 5 day, but now I'm just carrying on without a true plan. And fingers crossed.

    Do the best you can to follow the plan BUT you need to do what YOU need to do. Plenty of people mix juicing with food. Do what works for YOU. Good Luck

    The only danger to adding back food is it tends to wake up the digestive system. Myself I couldn't do it... I'd wind up falling off the juicing reboot entirely because food would be calling my name!!! Good luck to you :-)

    also wanted to add we used to juice a lot.



    and we were eating a healthy vegan diet in the past but got caught up with eating cheese, lots of it until we saw this excess weight just came on us slowly but surely so we said "ENOUGH"



    and me and my awesome wife have agreed to do this cleanse/ detox together.



    much harder to do it on your own.

    we just watched the movie. Fat Sick and Nearly Dead!



    and were inspired to come to the website, FatSickAndNearlyDead.com



    and decided to join this group for support.



    we start our cleanse / detox this Sunday March 12.



    We are going to start with this fresh, organic, raw living Spirulina from South Florida, and lots and lots of water.



    This is a one of a kind super food.



    We will most likely continue with a juice cleanse after or maybe during.



    We love to juice cucumbers, celery, beets, carrots and apples. But thinking of adding in much more green vegetables. .like kale, broccoli stems and other green vegetables.

    Hi all. I am starting the juice fast today... wondering if anyone has ideas on how to stick to it. I have tried it before, but it just gets really to only drink juice. Any suggestions?
