The headache of a detoxicing headache

Group Reboots

Ok. This is day 2 of my 30 day reboot. Yesterday toward the end of the day, my head felt like it was going to split open. I had 4 juices and a ton of water. I like the taste of the juice. The mean green is not as bad as people think it is. I really love the beet root and carrot juice with a pear. What I AM WONDERING IS.... HOW LONG WILL MY BODY DETOX? I know that the documentary says about 4 days. I really hope that this is true because I am in pain. I know I did this to myself. I started the fast at 230lbs. Any thoughts?

I tried juicing two years ago and on the first day I had such a pounding headache that the second day I started eating again. Today is my day one of my 15 day reboot. I am going to go 5 days at a time like Joe Cross recommends in his books so that I feel like I'm reaching my goals.

Today is my day one of my reboot and as of 1 o'clock my headache started pounding. I thought that maybe my headache 2 years ago was from not drinking enough and so I am very aware of doing that now. I had more water and it wasn't helping. I got very tired so I thought I would just take some excedrin and it I went away in 15 minutes! I feel so much better. I really want to be successful this time so I'm not going to be hard on myself. Maybe some Tylenol will work for you as I am not sure how strict you want to be. Excedrin has caffeine which I'm a big coffee drinker and started my transition into the reboot and started alleviating it from my diet about a week ago.

Hi, I think adding a few ounces (or more) of coconut water will help with the headaches. The electrolites may help you. I believe it helped me.

I am on day 8 and the first 3 days I was praying to God on my knees asking for relief. I can say what helped me was Coconut water and hot steamy baths every hour but this to shall pass, I am fine now and was really better by day 3. You do need to really lay down and rest more now...

Did you quit caffeine when you started? If so, what you are feeling is not detox, it is caffeine withdrawals.

For the first couple of days of the reboot, our system is changing from metabolizing carbs for energy, to metabolizing fat. This is a complex process that our bodies goes through, and we can feel nauseous and have headaches and low energy for a few days. Also, we are switching our diet from sugar and fat and protein and grease and slop and lots of carbs, to a reduced calorie diet with low amounts of sugar and fat and protein, and lower carbs. The more drastic the change, the worse we can feel.

The worst is over in a few days - you should be on day 3 now, and tomorrow you will feel much better!

Today is day five of my reboot and the headaches are gone and I feel great! I am surprised to find that I have a wealth of energy that I did not have before. I was eyeballing the ibuprofen the first couple of days but I resisted it and I am glad I did. I am sooo stoked! Five pounds down already!!! 55 to go. I am going to go work in my garden now :) I am not even hungry!.
