Important question about F.S.N.D documentary and 60day reboot

FAQ

Posted by 19Preston86 on 2 years ago I noticed that in the beginning when Joe Cross is telling people that he is going to juice for the 60 days. He comes across two African American or Haitian guys and he says something along the lines of "Im going to be drinking this, fruits and vegetables, and nuts and beans for the next 60 days." But I was led to believe that he did not consume any solid foods such as nuts or beans during his fast. Its important because if I dont want to deprive myself of nuts and beans if im suppose to be doing that while on the 60 day reboot. Did he or did he not? Thanks very much for the info.

I'm pretty sure he was saying that after the fast he was going on a fruits, veggies, nuts and beans diet.

I'm going to have to watch it now to find out but I'm pretty sure the nuts and beans were post fast.

In my initial reboot I did try nuts and seeds, and they were great but then and I went a little overboard, maybe 4 oz a day. I lost only a pound that week. So I stopped them and lost 9 lb the next week. I later saw on Ask the Nutritionist that nuts, seeds and beans are not recommended during the Reboot. Also after the Reboot, the nuts and seeds are raw and unsalted.

I would say try for 10 days without the nuts/beans. If you feel you can go longer without them, do it. If not, add the nuts and beans as you need. The whole thing is you have to tailor this to your needs and not the needs of someone else. I think Joe used the 60 days as a maximum guideline, not a goal for everyone to attain. I caution people to set yourself an attainable goal at first...10 days...if you go past that, you have reached your goal and surpassed it...but if you set for 30 to 60, you are going to be disappointed in yourself if you don't reach it. A juice fast is NOT easy. I tried with horrible results years ago because I set my goal too high. You might be able to handle it for that extended period of time, but be cautious and realistic.

well said, loren...i agree. i started with modified juicing, then went to a 5 day juice fast. juicing isn't bad, but it's not easy easy either. to jump into 30 days or bless them 60 days is quite an undertaking.

Everyone its actually at 7 minutes in, was my mistake its right after the two black guys and hes holding a bowling ball and he quickly says "6-8 months" which I didnt hear before.. sorry all! Loren in regards to setting low goals I can understand your logic in feeling good by accomplishing them, but I have lost 120lbs in my past and that was because I set my goals high and achieved them. I know everyone's different but I will be able to get to the 60, I guarantee this to myself, there absolutely is no other way. Am also making a youtube video about it (which wont be long drawn out and boring like most juicing vids). One of my favorite quotes by Kanye West is "Shoot for the stars, you might land on a cloud."

Preston, There isn't a 60 day plan that I can find... How are you determining what you will juice on those days?!? Are you going to repeat the 3 day fast over and over.... I need guidance!!!!!!

Hlly, I put the 60 day juice plan in my blog as it isn't explained well on here. http://planetsarah.com/2012/07/12/the-60-day-plan-how-is-it-done/ I also have an FAQ page and the mini video from Joe is on there explaining the same thing. Hope this helps :)
