Real Change

I want my body and energy back!

Real Change

Posted by tropico on 4 months ago

I have been overweight for 11 years now, and I am so sick of having no energy, no social life. I want to feel happy again.

I started my juice fast Monday morning and are on day 4. My plan is to do 28 days. Going on a small trip to France in the end of April so will take a break from juicing then, and might get back on the horse again after the trip. We'll see.

Day 1 was absolutly the hardest for me. I got headache. (Turned into a migrain) I was so hugry and felt weak.

Day 2 had som headache, but felt better and had more energy.

Day 3 felt great. Even had energy to clean the house and do a workout.

I will try to write a little bit everyday about how I feel and how I am doing. I have a lot of weight to loose, my start weight was at 122,5 kg /270 lbs (with clothes on since I had to weigh in at work since I don't have a working scale at the moment)

To be able to do this juice fast I have allowed myself one warm meal a day. Warm meal = vegetable soup
I feel it work a lot better than just juicing, then I am not tempted to nibble on my kids and my husbands dinners.
I think it works out well anyways, we'll see when I weigh in next time!

Day 5: I am enjoying a glass of water with lemon, ready to start my day. I feel great!

Going to weigh myself when I get to work, curious if i have lost more. Reminds me I have to buy a new scale so I can weigh in at home.

So far I feel like it has been really easy doing the fast. I have no cravings! The first day was of course hard, but after that it has not been any problem. I am hungry now and then, but I usually just drink some juice and I feel fine again.

I am so glad I am doing this. I really needed this change! This is the start of my new life!!!

I just stepped on the scale, down 3 kg/6,6 lbs since Monday. Still a long way to go, but it is a good start!

Day 5 have been good. Have not been very hungry today at all. I juiced for breakfast and lunch, cheated a little and had a banana, for dinner I had the tomato and garlic soup that I found here on this site. It was fantastic! And too lazy to juice before bedtime so just ate an orange.

My husband and my kids had my favorite pizza today. And I LOVE crust! So I have soooo tempted to eat their left over crust. lol. But I sticked to my plan!

Day 6, and weekend. Find it a little bit harder, since I am at home an not busy at work. But so far so good. Had one juice to day and some soup from yesterday. I have energy and feel good. Really looking forward to the weigh in on Monday, and it will feel good to be past the first week. Last time I did a juice fast I took a 7 day fast, so this time is the only time I will go further than that.

I feel a little lonely and would love to come in contact with some other people, maybe on Facebook so we can support eachother! So please contact me if you want to chat! :D

Day 7 is here! Can't wait for weigh-in tomorrow. I can clearly see a change in my body all ready.

Yesterday was hard, but I got through it. I still have a lot of energy. I even workout for 30 minutes!

Told one of my friends about the program, and she got super excited and wanted to start juicing herself. So much fun to inspire others to make a change in their lifes.

Oh no. Just realize I am not going to work tomorrow, so will not be able to weigh myself. I have been looking forward to checking my weight for a week now. :( Guess I have to go out and buy a new scale tomorrow, so I can do it at home from now on.

I also went to the store to buy a pineapple for tomorrows juice, and they didn't have any. (Stores in Norway are closed on Sunday, just a few "Sunday-stores" are open and they are really small)
So now I have to figure out what to put in my juice.

I have apples, lime, lemon, ginger and lots of vegtables. Well see if I can make-

Day 8. Feels amazing to be past the first week! I will buy a scale later today so i can check my weight.

I am not at work this week, but taking some course this week. I brought a juice and a smoothie today, and did not attend the others for lunch. Feel a little bit that I am not social during lunch, but I might join them tomorrow. Was thinking to maybe have a green salad instead of my juice.
I am allready allowing myself to eat soups at dinner, so I am sure a green salad won't hurt.

    Day 9 - 10 lbs lost !!!

Finally got to weigh myself and I am down 10 lbs/4,5 kg. Feels good!

My day just started so have to prepare my juices for today, I might eat a salad today so I can join the others for lunch. Does not feel comfortable to bring my juice to the lunchroom.

But I have been drinking juice and had soups all week, so don't think a green juice will affect me negativ.

You are doing great tropico! We have similar struggles: juicing while working, cooking for the family, attending social events (e.g. lunches at work). It's hard but you are pulling through! I feel very inspired by your success! Maybe I will try the soup thing, at least I don't need to feel deprived. You are a real proof that this system works! Keep it up!

    Thank you juicenut!

I feel being able to eat soup make things so much easier! I feel like I actually have a proper dinner. It might slow the process down a little bit, but as long as it make me stick to juicing for the other meals I am happy.
