Film/Grittiness on your Teeth?

FAQ

Posted by Trixyinaz on 1 year ago Since juicing, I notice my teeth have this gritty film like substance on them by the end of the day. Is this normal? I forgot to bring my toothbrush with me today at work so I could brush again at lunch time. The feeling when I rub by tongue on my teerth is going to drive me crazy. I forgot to brush my teeth last night before going to bed and it felt like there was something sticky on my molars when I woke up this morning. When I'd clench them together and then open my mouth, they'd stick together. Strange.

What sort of juices are you having? Do you have a lot of fruit, or a particular vegetable often? I do notice I get a sort of rough feeling on my teeth which I assume is a sort of starch build up like I get in the juicer too. Lemon gets it off the juicer, and I find when I add lemon to my juices it does help. Though sometimes I wonder if this is psychological lol. I've never had my teeth stick together though. Does sound strange.

Hey Sarah! I am drinking mostly veggies - the usual suspects, kale, spinach, collards, swiss chard, etc.... I asked my husband and he said he is getting the same thing. It must be the veggies since our only fruit juice is in the morning. We do put an apple or pear in with your veggies, but that's it. We'll just have to brush our teeth more often. I'll have to try the lemon, but he's not a huge lemon person. ;-) Thanks for the tip....I hope its not psychological tho....I'm not a huge lemon fan either.

I love lemon but don't really like it in my juices. I actually meant I add it to my water sorry, got juice on the brain! Post back if you find it helps, then I wont have to wonder whether its all in my head or just coincidence or whatever :)

Hey Sarah - Well yesterday, by coincedence, I had a lemon lime juice for breakfast (with some cabbage) and I did not notice my teeth to be as gritty as they were on Saturday and Sunday. Maybe not all in your head afterall ;-). For now, I'm just gonna have to be a 3 time brusher while juicing as I don't think I can drink that much lemon on a daily basis. LOL.

I've never had it on my teeth, but have definitely noticed a green film on my tongue sometimes! Yuck! __________________________________________________________________________________ Follow my juice fast blog at: http://www.gogreenstaylean.com

I am on day 13 of all juice and have noticed it on my teeth too just this past week. I think it's normal, part of the overall cleansing. I have not found anything to get rid of it yet... maybe someone else will have an idea..

You know, I have had a film as well, but it isn't gritty. It's slimy. Just around my teeth. And I DO use lemon at least twice a day. I think it really is just part of our bodies sorting itself out, as gross as it is.
