Feeling Sick

Posted by SStriley on 1 year ago Today my boyfriend and I started doing a 3 day weekend juicing for the first time. We decided to go with the Mean Green juice first. As my boyfriend is handling it well (ironically enough before juicing, I ate much better than him), I am not handling the first drink well at all. After 15 mins of consuming the juice, I threw up what seemed like half my stomach contents. Ive been drinking lots of water, but feeling as green as the drink itself. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Adding a apple to it will help the taste

Have you tried "chewing" your juice? I have read many times that this will help as well.

@ljucie2 - The Mean Green calls for 2 apples, but it hasnt helped the taste too much. @tararr - Its not so much the taste, I really dont know what it is to be honest. I feel fine after the first 10-15 mins, but then I feel so nauseous and it ends up coming up :/

SStriley my boyfriend is the same as you, certain foods I think are setting him off. I read that you can dilute the mixture with water also

Here are a few others: try drinking smaller amounts of juice throughout the day, dilute with water or coconut water, avoid strong flavors then ease them in gradually, use very small amounts of ginger and also lemon both of which have anti nausea properties. http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/juice-s-o-s/

I have this problem in the morning with green juice so I'm using fruit in the a.m. and then I do my green juice later with no problem.

Try a different juice. Something that you like maybe. What about Celery, carrot juice first up. Throw in a apple. That s pretty safe.
